April 2018

It's now April and the sun is coming back into our lives.  We've had more time to work on things we enjoy and spend time together.  So check out the craftiness and food tabs to see what we've been up to!  :)

Kaylee is now two and has to have control over everything.  Her favorite thing to have control over is how she looks.  She loves to pick out her clothes (see above picture) and is very proud of what she does.  She loves to brush her hair and tells me how to do her hair.  She's a feisty little fashionista with more fashion than her mother!

Kaylee's favorite things to do are read and draw.  She recognizes letters A-L and is trying hard to learn to read so that I don't have to always read to her.  The above picture is her drawing on a magna-doodle while crouched on the stairs at Grandma and Grandpa Monson's house.  She will color on anything and everything. I had to take all the crayons away and make a blackboard for her so that she would stop coloring on the walls.  So far, it's worked!

Easter with cousins at G & G Monson's house.  Kaylee had so much fun hunting for eggs and was very disappointed when they were all found...then she discovered there were things inside the eggs!  How exciting!

We went bowling with friends and Kaylee had the best time!

Tyler at the bowling alley.  We had fun too and didn't do too badly considering we hadn't been bowling in a couple years.

Kaylee trying to stay out of the way while I was mopping :)

In February, Tyler had surgery. He had septorhinoplasty and a tonsillectomy at the same time.  Kaylee understood that her daddy needed a little extra love.  She would sit with him outside (see above) and "read" to him (see below) to try to make him happy.  She would say, "Daddy, nose, ouch!" and give him a big hug.  After the hug she would say, "All better Daddy."  It made my heart melt.
